COVID-19 virus: Led walks cancelled until at least the end of June 2020
Sadly, but not surprising, Ramblers GB is suspending all volunteer activities. This includes group led walks, Walking for Health schemes, all training including walk leadership training, path maintenance working groups, coach trips and holidays, meetings, group and social events. This applies to at least the end of June, subject to further developments.

Sunday 29th March 2020 - Nene Valley Walk
Meet at the lay-by on the corner of Sutton Cross Way (off the roundabout on the A47 before entering Sutton), map/grid ref: 234/TL100989 at 10:30. Please do not park near the church in Sutton around service time. Walking from Sutton to the NVR at Wansford, taking in the river Nene to the Castor back waters up to Alwalton. Proceeding to Ferry Meadows Cafe for lunch and a brew. Toilets available there. Walking via the bluebell wood back along the bank of the Nene to the NVR Pathway via Castor back to Sutton. Walk is a mixture of concrete paths and potentially muddy ground near the river.

10th-13th April 2020 - Easter Weekend - PYW in Jersey
Join us for full days walking from Good Friday to Easter Sunday with shorter walk/activity on Easter Monday.
Those already booked are travelling before Easter with last arrivals on the Thursday to enjoy a full Easter weekend of walking and activity. We are based in St. Helier and will be using public transport where necessary although some walks may start from St. Helier.

Sunday 7th June - Exton, Rutland
Join us for a Rutland ramble from Exton (meet outside the Fox and Hounds pub LE15 8AP) map/grid ref: 234/SK925112 at 10:30. Park sensibly around the village green. We egress east to Fort Henry lower lake then sauntering south to Empingham before wandering west to skirt Rutland reservoir stopping for cafe and comfort break either at Sykes Lane or just further along at Whitwell Lodge. Our last leg is a stride back to the start point in Exton.

Sunday 16th August 2020 - Fineshade via Laxton and King's Cliffe
Meet at Fineshade Top Lodge (park in layby or pay for parking at the Visitor centre) map/grid ref: 234/SP979983 at 10:30. Our walk will go via Laxton, Blatherwyke and King's Cliffe before returning to Top Lodge.

Meet outside Smiths public house on North Street in Bourne (PE10 9AE, parking on North Street), map/grid ref: 248/TF095202 at 10:30. A lovely walk through Bourne Woods to Morton, onto Dyke then back to Bourne. Pubs are available at Morton, Dyke and Bourne but we'll decide together whether we visit any of them.

Meet outside the church on Main Street, Tugby (LE7 9WD), map/grid ref: 233/SK762009 at 10:30. The walk heads south on the Midshires Way to Goadby then towards Rolleston Hall with its picturesque lake then Skeffington and back to Tugby.

Sunday 25th October - Oundle, Northamptonshire
Meet outside the George Inn on the Glapthorn Road in Oundle, (PE8 4PR), map/grid ref: 227/TL035890 at 10:30. Park sensibly in streets nearby. The walk takes in the north of Oundle entering old town with lunch and a toilet stop at Barnwell Country Park. We then proceed on the Nene Valley river walk past the south of Oundle and finishing at the George Inn.

Sunday 6th December 2020 - Barnack circuit via Stamford
Meet outside the Millstone public house (which unfortunately is currently closed) in Barnack (PE9 3ET) map/grid ref: 234/TF076049 at 10:30. A circular walk via Helpston. Note: This walk has been rerouted to be entirely within Cambridgeshire (Tier 2) and avoid crossing into the Tier 3 county of Lincolnshire. Unfortunately it also means, frustratingly, that members living in Tier 3 should not join us.
