12 January 2025 – Clipsham
Meet outside the The Olive Tree pub. Time: 10:30am
Parking is on the road in the village (Main Street or West Street are the widest roads). It is a small village so suggest car sharing wherever possible.
Starting in Clipsham, we make our way to Holywell Quarry, up and around Pickworth Great Wood into the outskirts of Pickworth, down into the woods again towards Clipsham Quarry and then into Castle Bytham and then back to Clipsham. There will be a lunch/pub stop in Castle Bytham and possibly at the end of the walk.

26 January 2025 – Alwalton Social Walk
Meet at the Colonel Dane Village Hall, Alwalton. Time: 10:30am
A social, accessible, family friendly walk for all. We set out along the 'green' path through Orton Wistow to pass by Overton Station on the NVR arriving at the Ferry Meadows Visitor Centre for toilets/refreshments. We then do a circuit of Overton and Gunwade Lakes before walking back along the high southern bank of the Nene to Alwalton. Drinks at the Cuckoo afterwards for those who are interested.

9 February 2025 – Buckminster via Sproxton Circuit
Meet outside the St John the Baptist Church, Buckminster. Time: 10:30am
A circular walk from Buckminster via Sproxton Circuit which is mostly on good paths so not too muddy. There is a nice tea shop at the end

23 February 2025 – Apethorpe
Meet outside the Church in Apethorpe. Time: 10:30am
This circular walk heads north to Bedford Purlieus then onwards to Kings Cliffe with possible pub stop at The Cross Keys, skirting Tomlin Wood and passing Apethorpe Hall on the return.

9 March 2025 – Hambleton Peninsula
We will park on the road heading towards the village of Upper Hambleton and meet near the gate on the right hand side of the road where the walk will start. What 3 Words: flotation: competent: coffee. Time: 10:30am
A circular walk along surfaced and good woodland paths. The peninsula loop is the most scenic part of the Rutland Water Reservoir and has fewer walkers and cyclists on it. Please bring a packed lunch as there are no pubs or cafes on route. At the of the walk there is the choice of the Finches Arms in the village, cafes and pubs in Oakham and the Barnsdale Gardens Helenium Tea Room.

23 March 2025 – Stanwick Lakes
Meet at Kinewell Lakes car park near Ringstead. The car park only has spaces for approx 12 cars so car sharing is recommended. Time: 10:30am
A circular walk from Ringstead to Stanwick Lakes, where you can stop at the Visitor Centre for light refreshments such as tea & cakes. The cafe can get busy so potentially best to stick with light refreshments only. The paths can be a bit boggy so dress appropriately.

Meet at Millyard Post Street Car Park (free) in Godmanchester. Time: 10:30am
We walk east from Godmanchester through the nature reserve and along the Ouse Valley Way picking up the river on our way to Houghton Mill for lunch stop/refreshments/toilets. We then cross Hemingford Meadow and walk to Hemingford Abbots picking up the Pathfinder Trail returning to Godmanchester passing various points of historic interest and views along the way.

Meet in the small dead end lay-by behind the roundabout where Thorpe Road joins Longthorpe Parkway. Time: 19:00
We set off across Thorpe Meadows towards the rowing lake, follow the river past the Yacht Club and boats towards the edge of Nene Park returning on the other side of the river via Orton Mere. There are small amounts of mud if wet but otherwise good paths. Optional refreshments at the Boathouse afterwards.

A circular walk around quiet lanes, fields, villages and footpaths. Please bring a packed lunch as there is nowhere to buy food on the way around although you can buy take away food from Picks Barn at the start of the walk.

Starting off in the lay-by, we'll head towards Riddlington, where we can stop for a coffee break. Then off to Launde Abbey through fields, where we'll have our lunch stop. Then back to Belton-in-rutland. The walk is rolling hills, mostly at the start and a couple spread out further into the walk. We have 1 fence to climb over, 1 stile and a few quiet roads to walk on, but its mostly footpaths and bridleways.

Meet outside Dolphin Hotel, St Ives. There is free parking on the right side of London Road or you can pre book at the Dolphin Hotel for £2.20 per day. There are no toilets at the start but there are some at Houghton Mill half way through the walk. Time: 10:30am
This circular walk explores both sides of the river Great Ouse, nature reserves and a working 18th century water mill.

Circular walk from Branston to Belvoir Castle for a lunchstop (Picnic or Cafe) and then returning back to Branston. There are toilets at Belvoir Castle. The distance can be reduced to 9 miles depending on whether and group consensus.

7 September 2025 – Southwick Circular
Meet outside the Shuckleburgh Arms in Southwick. Time: 10:30am
Walk from the Shuckburgh Arms, where you can park, the pub will be open to use the toilets before the walk starts and to place any lunch orders for your return at the end. We will be walking through fields, woodlands, rolling countryside with an elevation of just over 500 feet with lovely views of the surrounding landscape. The lunch stop will be around Morehay Lawn just over half way round. Please bring a packed lunch as there are no facilities on the walk. There's a good opportunity for blackberrying on the way round towards the end of the walk.

6 October 2025 – Regent’s Canal
Meet outside the exit next to Caffe Nero in Kings Cross Railway Station. Time: 10:30am
From King's Cross we'll join the Regent's Canal in the regenerated Coal Drops Yard behind the station. Heading east, we follow the towpath joining the pavement to pass through Chapel Market in Islington before rejoining the towpath heading into Hackney. There will be a comfort stop in Victoria Park (toilets and coffee hut) before walking the extra mile to Limehouse Basin which connects to the Thames. Return along the same route to Kings Cross/St Pancras. Packed lunch or a cafe option for lunch.

Picking up the Rutland Round we exit east to Seaton over rolling rural Rutland then veer via Bisbrooke before turning towards Uppingham for our lunch stop (refreshments and toilets). We then stroll south to return to Lyddington.
